Marion is a life-long member of the AUT (Association of University Teachers) and has lived in Earley for three years, having moved from Nottinghamshire to be near her daughter.
A major impetus in both her career and in community work has been equal opportunities, particularly the empowerment of women and girls.
Her community work has included membership of the local parish council, working as a comprehensive school governor, a volunteer custody visitor and helping to set up a Women’s Aid Refuge.
