All three Labour councillors on Wokingham Borough council spoke against the Tories’ plan to reduce the income of low income families in receipt of Child Maintenance payments.

At an extra-0rdinary meeting of the council held on 24th January, the Tories voted to include 33% of Child Maintenance payments in the assessment of Council Tax Relief.  Council Tax Relief is a discount given to low income families to help them afford Council Tax.
